Sea Plane Cost

*Seaplane transfer advisory:
• Baggage allowance is 25Kg and 5kg hand luggage per person. Excess baggage is chargeable and must be paid directly to the air taxi company at US $ 4.00 per one KG.
• The resort must receive full flight details at least seven days prior to guest arrival in order to guarantee the seaplane seats. Failure to do so may result in additional waiting time in the Conrad Maldives Lounge or an overnight stay in Malé at the clients’ additional cost.
• All guests have access to the Conrad Maldives Lounge located at the Air Taxi Terminal on arrival.
• Airport transfer via seaplane is available during daylight hours only.
• Guests arriving in Malé on an international flight after 1630hrs will require overnight accommodation in Malé and will be transferred to the resort the following morning.
• Guests departing Malé on an international flight prior to 0900hrs will be transferred late the previous afternoon and will require overnight accommodation in Malé.
• Guests departing Malé on an international flight late at night can make use of our seaplane lounge till midnight at the below costs.
• Malé accommodation options can be booked by Conrad Maldives Rangali Island at an additional cost.
• Seaplane rates are subject to increase if fuel surcharge is imposed

The seaplane lounge is open to all our guests arriving in the country and it offers a very welcome respite after a long international flight.  Located on the second floor of the Trans Maldivian Airlines seaplane terminal, guests can watch seaplanes taking off and landing in the lagoon in front of the lounge and enjoy a bird’s eye view of the airport to the rear while they relax in air conditioned comfort.
The lounge is designed to be the equal of the best airport lounges in the world and is open seven days a week from 7am until 5pm on a complimentary basis and from 5pm until 11pm for the above fee.
Guests using the lounge can enjoy the following facilities: complimentary shoulder massages for all guests until 5pm, a spa offering a range of massages and reviving body scrubs (charged), a children’s play room, a balcony with sun loungers, complimentary light breakfast and snack buffet until 5pm , extensive dinner buffet after 5pm (included in the evening use fee), full range of soft drinks and juices, free wi-fi, computer stations enabling guests to stay connected, shower and changing facilities with branded toiletries.

How to find the lounge:

Guests are met by a uniformed staff member on arrival at Male International Airport and then shuttled to the seaplane terminal.  This 10-minute drive from the airport will bring guests to the seaplane terminal where they can use the lounge.

Evening operations and charges:

The seaplane lounge is the only one in the country that remains open in the evening.  Guests who have flights departing late in the evening can book access to the lounge from 5pm onwards, thereby avoiding the necessity of reserving day-use rooms in nearby hotels.
